My personal yoga journey started after attending my first yoga class over ten years ago.
The class had a profound affect on me and at the time I was an active marathon runner/gym instructor/aerobics & keep fit teacher. I was also running my own business with a friend - finally I had found my new vocation in life and eased into my yoga classes - after two years of attending regular classes and workshops, I enrolled on The British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course and gained my certificate in 2006.
After the foundation course, I naturally progressed onto the teacher training course and gained The British Wheel of Yoga Teachers Diploma in 2009 - the two courses together amounted to four hard years of study (which included anatomy & physiology, philosophy, lesson planning & plenty of practical teaching).
I'm now in my tenth year of teaching.
I have been teaching regular classes and covering for other teachers in various places such as Gyms, Leisure Centres, Schools, Country Clubs & Church halls, including One to One tuition around the Essex area.
In 2012 I ventured to India with some wonderful friends and practiced yoga in a beautiful retreat in Kerala. While we were there, we practiced yoga in an Ashram, meeting a real Guru, it was a dream come true, to go to where it all began over 5,000 years ago. The experience has enhanced my teaching and changed the direction of my life !
After retiring from my business, I am now teaching yoga as much as possible and loving every minute !
Now it's your time to start your own yoga journey and I hope I can be a part of that journey with you !
